Section one is a methodical dissection to help determine what the worth of your personal and professional reputation. So hire wisely! Your employee BECOMES your reputation! In section two appropriately titled Building a Team that Understands the Goal, you’ll methodically walk through the basics of behavioral interviewing, writing interview questions, how to spot specific personality traits, desired characteristics and technical knowledge in a future applicant, and where to find a potential DJ. Lastly, you’ll have to make a selection. Section three helps you do that with a telephone interview, homework with the application and a sample interview script, checking references and developing a candidate rating/ranking system. Wow! Accompanying each section in the workbook are the necessary documents to begin the action process. It also includes sample questions, profiles, forms, checklists, and more to provoke your own thought and activity.

Reviews:

"Finally! A book that spurs the process of creating a surefire hiring and training program and manual for Mobile DJs! Consistency of quality is one of the major components that is lacking in the Mobile DJ Industry today. Matt Martindale carefully leads you through the steps of developing your own program that is unique to your specific company. Every Mobile DJ should own this workbook and use it often!"

Rich Dad's Rich Kid, Smart Kid: Giving Your Children a Financial Head start : Book - Paperback (264 pages) Awarded 3.5/5.0 of our 5
How many High School graduates can balance their checkbook, or understand what perils the abuse of credit cards can cause? Not very many because they aren't being taught in school, and parents aren't teaching anything about financial responsibility, investment, savings or tithing at home. This book is the starting place. This book is written for parents or the financially un-informed that value education and want to provide their children with a financial IQ head start. Personally, I preferred this book over the other one for those starting from ground zero due to his methodical, intentional, processes. If you read the "Journal" (Wall Street Journal) everyday, trust me, you'll be very bored reading this book. Save your money. If you don't read the WSJ daily, and have kids (mine are only 4 and 5) then get this book and start teaching them financial responsibility and help them raise their financial IQ today! A GREAT BOOK IF YOU HAVE KIDS!

Letís take a moment and understand how humans are wired so you can understand the review about to follow. Our internal ìbeliefî sets the foundation for ìconviction.î If we really believe our conviction, then we will ìactî in unison. This is an ìattitudeî (or belief) shifting book. Itís truly about learning how to change your core beliefs so you will act into building wealth. Now personally, I am not wealthy - and thatís because I have a deep belief, conviction and integrity of action that I do not care for excessive leveraging, signing surety and massive debt accumulation. For some, that may be fine - for me, right now, itís hard to borrow without a sound plan to re-pay what I borrow. Regardless, I like the basic principles of the book, financial basics, and the history of how he was educated on finances. He developed his unique financial perspective through mixed lenses: his ìrealî (poor) dad who was a public school superintendent, and his best friend Mikeís dad (who was rich) set the stage for him. His ìpoorî Dad continually had belaboring financial difficulties struggling from paycheck to paycheck, and his ìrichî Dad had his assets working for him to provide income. Hereís the whole key of the book: "the poor and the middle class work for money," but "the rich have money work for them.î Sounds great, but remember, heís in Hawaii and loves real estate as "the" main investment, where the real estate supply is limited on the island. I wonder how well heíd do in Wyoming, Texas or Colorado? I'm sure he'd do well, but may take much longer and a little different perspective. I plan to try some of his methods soon and we'll see what happens. Overall, this book is certainly not a comprehensive guide to achieving financial success, but itís a great place to start. Here are the main keys to the book: 1) start investing while youíre young; 2) learn the difference between assets and liabilities; 3) buy real assets that produce self sufficient income (or cash flow) on their own 4) learn why the rich donít pay taxes. A good book to read, but remember, it depends where your beliefs are first and how easy they are to change about ìinvestingî vs. ìdebt.î All debt isn't bad, just have a plan of responsiblity to repay it. Regardless, I still highly recommend this one!

The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy : Book - Paperback (323 pages) Awarded 3.0/5.0 of our 5
First of all, it wasnít a terribly bad book. However, the authors give the impression that if you ìactî like a millionaire, you can become one. It inadvertently encourages the millionaire showmanship behavior of doing as they do, when in reality, they say itís opposite of what Hollywood portrays. Thatís the first flaw of this book. They assert that millionaires are wealthy solely because of their frugality, but I wonder then, are they happy? I know that money does not mean happiness, but there is a stretch in the book and I wonder the sincere honesty in some of their survey responses. Forget happiness for a moment, the book does contain several great ìlifeî principles like: ìlive life below your means;î ìchoose your occupation wisely;î the value of education, and more. The remainder of the book tends to be boring statistical diatribe of ìskewedî numbers which focus on the most successful upswing of U.S. stocks in the last 20 years...which is likely the reason to their millionaire status. DuhÖduring this time frame, the market by its nature, made and broke a lot of millionaires depending on their individual stock choice. If their statistics are true, then Iím curious, how many would still be millionaires if it were a bear market over the last 20 years? Be guarded, this book will not show you how to become a millionaire but a good read of who they say the millionaires ìreallyî are.
