In one power packed workbook, Matt carefully walks you through the steps to successfully find, select then hire staff. Section one is a methodical dissection to help determine what the worth of your personal and professional reputation. So hire wisely! Your employee BECOMES your reputation! In section two appropriately titled Building a Team that Understands the Goal, you’ll methodically walk through the basics of behavioral interviewing, writing interview questions, how to spot specific personality traits, desired characteristics and technical knowledge in a future applicant, and where to find a potential DJ. Lastly, you’ll have to make a selection. Section three helps you do that with a telephone interview, homework with the application and a sample interview script, checking references and developing a candidate rating/ranking system. Wow! This workbook has it all! Accompanying each section in the workbook are the necessary documents to begin the action process. It also includes sample questions, profiles, forms, checklists, and more to provoke your own thought and activity.

"Finally! A book that spurs the process of creating a surefire hiring and training program and manual for Mobile DJs! Consistency of quality is one of the major components that is lacking in the Mobile DJ Industry today. Matt Martindale carefully leads you through the steps of developing your own program that is unique to your specific company. Every Mobile DJ should own this workbook and use it often!"

The HP Way : How Bill Hewlett and I Built Our Company : Book - Paperback (224 pages) Awarded 3.0/5.0 of our 5
Imagine the typical computer start up settingÖtwo buddies begin a partnership by producing an audio oscillator in a garage in 1938, then go on to make an international computer giant. A few years later, one goes to fight in WWII as an officer, the other stays to keep building their business. What I especially respect about David Packard, is that while Bill Hewlett was an officer in the army, Packard chose to pay himself the same small salary his counterpart was earning. Iím sure that small gesture spoke volumes into their friendship and business ethics for the decades to come. Their gradual success began with U.S. government war contracts and a vision for global expansion (particularly Asia) over the next thirty years. Both Hewlett and Packard were committed to innovative product development, but a firm commitment to those that worked within in the walls of HP (aka ìthe HP wayî). It's a GREAT BOOK!

Benjamin Franklin Diplomat (87910.Three Audio Cassette) : Audio Cassette Book (3cass / ~270 min. or ~4.5 hrs) Awarded 2.5/5.0 of our 5
The book is really a compilation of letters, memos and accounts of Benjamin Franklin - probably the greatest diplomat in U. S. history. The language and prose of the audio book is somewhat difficult to follow since itís authentic language and style is from the 1700ís. Listening to the audio book version straight through seemed somewhat dry, but gave me a distinct respect for the amount of thought placed in each word Franklin used that showed his genuine compassion for others which he methodically thought out in advance. The work does in fact provide a valid, first-hand account of the events leading to the diplomacy of the Revolutionary War, but my one fascination came from the way Franklin became such a gifted diplomat. He dealt with refining his own character imperfections out of his habitual life by finding a personal ìflawî and intently focusing on the correction of that single flaw for one week; thereby infusing a new ìgoodî habit in lieu of the previous one. He truly learned ìHow to Win Friends and Influence Peopleî before Carnegie ever thought of itÖThat small morsel of what Franklin did (and how) is worth the price of the book to me - and if you get it, youíll understand too.
